How to Setup Google Hosted Email in Microsoft Outlook
Before starting to setup Google Hosted Email in Microsoft Outlook you will need to write down the following information to input into Microsoft Outlook:POP server: pop.gmail.com
Use SSL: Yes
Port: 995
SMTP server: smtp.gmail.com
Use Authentication: Yes
SSL Port: 465 or TLS Port: 587 (using SSL is preferred)

- Launch Microsoft Outlook
- A new window should pop up. Select "Add a new email account" and click on the "Next" button

- In the next window select "POP3" and click the "Next" button

- Fill out your information in the boxes in the next window. The only boxes which should be the same as the screen shot below are the "Incoming mail server (POP3):" and the "Outgoing mail server (SMTP):". The other information was provided to you through email when your account was created. Use your information in the other boxes.

- After you have filled out all the information in the boxes you can test to make sure the email account is working fine by clicking on the"Test Account Settings" button. A new window should open up and go through all the email account tests. After it is completed it should look like the window below showing that all tests are "Completed". Click the "Close" button to close this window.
- You should be back at the previous window above. Click on the "More Settings" button and continue to the instructions below.

- A new window will appear shown below. Name your email account so you can identify it. Below we named the email account "Joe Cruz's Email". You can name it anything you want. Also fill in the "Other User Information". After you filled out the information click on the "Outgoing Server" tab at the top of the window.

- In the "Outgoing Server" tab make sure "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" is checked, and "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" is clicked. Next click on the "Advanced" tab at the top of the window.

- On the "Advanced" tab window fill out the information below:
Incoming server (POP3): 995
This server requires an SSL-secured connection is checked.
Outgoing server (SMTP): 465
This server requires an SSL-secured connection is checked.
Leave a copy of messages on the server is checked.
- Click the "OK" button

- You should get a window saying setup is complete. Click the "Finish" button.

You should now be able to send and receive email from the account you just setup.
